NEW PERMANENT RESIDENCE IMMIGRATION PROGRAM

Have you accumulated at least 1 year of work experience in Canada?

Then you may be eligible to apply for permanent residence through the new immigration program.

• Be in Canada at the time of application.
• Intend to reside outside Quebec.
• Have accumulated at least 12 months of full-time Canadian work experience during the past 3 years in 1 of the occupations listed here – while having a valid work permit (scroll down to see the list of eligible occupations).
• Be employed in Canada in any occupation – while having a valid work permit.
• Have scored at least CLB 4 in all 4 language skills, in English or French.

Your spouse and children under 22 years old can be included in your application for permanent residence as accompanying dependents.

Only 50,000 spots for applicants with English test results.

*Quotas do not apply to French speakers.

Application start date: May 6, 2021.

Application end date: November 5, 2021. You should be ready to submit a complete application on May 6, 2021 or soon after.

We do not know yet through which immigration portal these applications will be received and processed.

If you meet the above requirements, pass your language test, gather all your documents, and be ready to apply on the application start date. Remember, all documents that are not in English or French must be translated by an official translator.
